Filming Day Three

Today we filmed probably about half of my coursework! I'm very pleased with how it's already starting to look and we actually didn't get rained on this time which was very helpful. This was also the first time that my entire cast met and they all got on really well together. We had a lot of fun and have already got a date planned to finish the rest.

Filming Day Two

Today I managed to get a little bit more done with my filming for my coursework. Annoyingly the weather was inconsistent today so we had spells of sunshine and torrential rain. Looking at my filming I think I will have to re-film some parts due to the weather proving an issue for the consistency of my film. However, I finally managed to film some parts with my actress playing Melodie and I'm very pleased with her acting as she has presented Melodie's character exactly as I wanted her to be.

Filming Day One

Today I finally started filming my media coursework! We worked for around an hour to prepare make-up and costume, finally using the elf ears that I ordered over two months ago. The instructions on the back to apply the ears were in German which was amusing for us all to translate but the images helped. We had to trim the ears to fit each of my actresses ears and then blended them with their actual ears with foundation so that they looked natural. The use of the prosthetics was extremely effective overall and I will really please with the outcome.

Filming Issue #1

Recently I have been planning to film for at least a month or more. Due to family issues, my cast being available at different times as well as being ill, in hospital or working, and bizarre weather conditions I had to postpone and reorganise different days for filming.

A few weeks back I made a final decision of filming on Sunday 12 February. However, a friend was taken to hospital who was set to act on the week that I was set to film just after another had to cancel. I was left with only two actresses and one could only make the morning due to other arrangements later on in the day. My cast was so limited that I had to completely recast the roles.
